Einer der Hauptdarsteller, Richard Burton als John Morlar, verfügte über eine erschreckende Kraft, die über Leben und Tod entscheidet. So eine Gabe wünschte ich mir auch, stellte ich beim Frühstück mit meiner Frau fest! –

Zufällig spielte mein Musik-System einen Song von Eric Burdon & The Animals: The Black Plague. Übersetzt: ‚Schwarzer Tod‘. Er beschreibt das Auftreten der Pest im Europa des Spätmittelalters.
